Focus & Benefits

Builds full-body muscular endurance and cardiovascular fitness through a large but simple descending workload. The 35-rep opening round demands patience, the 25-rep round becomes the heart of the challenge and the final 15s allow you to increase the pace before a 25-burpee finish. The repeated runs keep the cardiovascular demand high throughout and create a clear 500-rep, 1km benchmark to revisit.

Pro Tip: Do not wait until you need a break. Break the 35s early — 10-10-10-5 will usually beat smashing 25 reps and then staring at the kettlebell. And remember: when you reach those final 25 burpees, there is nothing after them. Get through them and you’re done.
