Is oatmeal healthy?

Oatmeal is a whole-grain cereal. Whole grain products lower the risk of cardiovascular disease. Ultimately, how you prepare it and what you add to it determines how healthy it is. It is healthy if you make it with semi-skimmed milk.

What is oatmeal?

Oatmeal with milk or yoghurt

If you always eat oatmeal instead of bread, you may get too little iodine.

Whole grain is good for your cholesterol

In general, whole wheat products lower the risk of heart disease. Oats have been specifically shown to help lower LDL cholesterol levels in the blood. Low LDL cholesterol ensures that you have less risk of cardiovascular disease.
